subject to disciplinary actions as outlined on the Camping

scan the form & email it or fax to your fleet captain.
Use the

the fleet captain will print out
, sign, scan and email it back to you.

Camping
Guidelines
- Please
always camp in your fleets designated area (refer to the
camping area maps on pages 3-7 of the
instructions.)
-
If you wish
to camp in an area other than your designated fleet area, this
should be communicated to your specific fleet captain for
coordination & approval of the fleet of the desired camping
area.
-
Camping in other than the designated camping area is
grounds for having your tent removed.
-
Several Sunshades are designated as day use areas only,
such as: near playgrounds or launch facilities, which
are outlined on the camping area maps (see below camping
maps). Camping behind these sunshades is not allowed &
your tent will be subject to removal.
-
Please keep your area clean and
put your equipment away when you will not be there to allow
others to make use of the sunshade if you are not there.
-
Do not
attach your tent to the sunshade. Short time campers
(1-2 nights) should the tent at least 5 feet behind the
sunshade to allow sunshade use by other members if you
are not there on the beach. Long Term camping tents must
be at least 20 feet behind any sunshade and placed in
designated areas (see below camping maps).
-
It is
recommended that short term tent campers stay at the
beach while camping. Otherwise any Day users who come to
the beach while you are gone can use the Sunshade &
tables near your tent. Note: Unoccupied tents do not
reserve the sunshade; so please do not show up late on a
busy day and expect anyone to move.
-
During special functions & events
camping will not be allowed in the event area. That is
one reason why prior approval (3 business days) is
required.
-
Any problems concerning tent
camping should first be communicated to your fleet
captains. If they are unavailable please see the gate
attendant for referral to an HMYA Beach supervisor
(Intranet
Contact List).
Beach Fires
Sitting around a campfire on the beach can be romantic and
relaxing and it’s certainly not something you get to do
every day. Before you make plans to build a fire, be sure
you know how to do so safely:
-
Please provide your own firewood & fire containers. The
HMYA beach crew may, at times, have a limited supply of
firewood & fire containers; however you should be
courteous & compensate them if they provide you wood.
-
Fires are permitted only in personal metal fire
containers, preferably elevated off the ground.
-
Area must be cleaned and remains removed from the sand
appropriately after use.
-
Keep your campfire size smaller than 4 feet on each side
and 3 feet in height.
-
Do not build a fire if it is windy.
-
Do not throw explosive material (including glass
bottles) into the fire.
-
Please report illegal fires to the HMYA Beach Cew.
-
Place all garbage in the blue containers or pack out
your garbage, if necessary.
-
Please drench your fire to extinguish it & clean the
area before you leave.
-
Supervise your children closely, even when lifeguards
are present, your children are always under your
responsibility.
